Music Therapy & Interventions
The Music Medicine Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the proposition that music therapy - the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individual goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program - can effectively enhance the quality of life of persons with acute or chronic illness through the collaboration between music and medicine.
Since 1996, it has been our purpose to help people with chronic illnesses cope and improve their quality of life through music therapy. Our therapies are available to people of all ages and have a particular focus on those with chronic illness and helping them cope with their illness, as well as improving the quality of life. Founder Elizabeth Jacobi has dealt with her own chronic illness using this approach and is passionate about helping others.
